Tree-Mendous Mini Camp!

9:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Event Details

Can you eat a tree cookie? Join us at Lincoln Ridge Park in Independence on Tuesday the 11th and Wednesday the 12th for a nature mini-camp to explore trees! Each of the two days will involve hands-on activities, games, information, and education related to trees and leaves. Activities may include, among others: tree and leaf identification, "becoming" the parts of a tree and "building" a tree from the inside out, learning how scientists use trees to find out the ages of other things, estimating the heights of trees, and much, much more! Create a nature journal, try to identify trees in the park, and record your observations! Register for either day or both. Activities, except tree identification, will be different each day. Co-sponsored by Kenton County Parks and Recreation. Registration is requested but not required.
