Family Movie Night: The Secret Life of Pets

6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Erlanger
Meeting Rooms A & B
The first Friday of the month is for the KCPL families!  Friday nights at the Library have become THE movie night.  Now families can get in on the fun.  Come early for more fun to the kids' program at 6 pm.

The Secret Life of Pets
PG  I  87 mins  I  Animation, Comedy, Family

Max is a dog who lives a happy life with his owner in a Manhattan apartment complex. Max has made friends with all of the pets in the building, and he even has friends in the building across the street. Max's owner disrupts life by bringing home the sloppy and inconsiderate dog, Duke. Max and Duke do not get along, but they have to put all of that behind them when they find out that an abandoned bunny pet is gathering all of the other pets together to take revenge on the pets with homes. Seems like kitty does a lot more than sleep when you are at work all day.

Family Movie Night:  Come enjoy free popcorn while you watch a recently released family-friendly film. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The name of the movie will be released closer to the date so we can play recent releases.  Look for our flyers and updated online calendar.

Attention, all adult anime fans! Do you have a love for anime but no one to share it with? Has your love for anime survived past your 19th birthday? Would you still like to attend an anime program at your library?
You may simply be new to the world of anime and just want to find out what all the hype is about. Or if you're looking to meet with other adult anime lovers to enjoy or share anime films and manga art, there's finally a place for you at your local library.
The Erlanger Library is hosting a monthly Adult Anime Club. Please bring your friends and join other adults to watch, talk about and share anime and manga!

For those new to the scene, anime is a form of colorful and stylized animation that originated in Japan. These cinematic works of art contain realistic animation that focuses less on movement and more on character detail, vivid colors, realistic scenery and various camera effects. Manga is the name for graphic novels based on the style of anime. Together, anime and manga have exploded within our culture and become popular worldwide.
