Patriot Nations: Native Americans in Our Nation’s Armed Forces was produced by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. The exhibition was made possible by the generous support of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.
Honor our fallen service-members by learning to make Memorial Day themed buttons, bags, posters, and T-shirts in our Covington Maker Space. Bring a digital copy of a photo, and we will walk you through the process. Registration is required, and space is limited. All materials provided.

These free business counseling sessions are offered every Tuesday at the Library. You must register in advance to participate. In addition to these weekly sessions, SCORE also offers free one-on-one meetings. These are also offered on an appointment only basis. They provide free advice to fledgling entrepreneurs, folks whose companies are young and struggling or still in the imagination stage on all facets of starting and running a small business.
During each session three or more SCORE mentors with diverse backgrounds meet with individual clients to discuss their ideas, plans and dreams.
Are you interested in adding your
story to our Veterans Oral History Project? Staff from the Local History and
Genealogy Department will be conducting Veterans Oral History interviews at the
William E. Durr Library. Interviewees will be required to fill out and return a
pre-interview questionnaire and release form. The interviews will be video
recorded. Veterans are encouraged to bring medals, photographs, newspaper
clippings, and other items related to their service to the interview.
Participants must call-ahead to schedule

All interviews must be scheduled by Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
The pre-interview questionnaire and release
form must also be completed and returned to the Library by Tuesday, May 21,

Join staff from the Local History & Genealogy department for a walking tour of Latoni'as Ritte's Corner District. Learn about the significant structures, former residents, and events of times past. Comfortable walking shoes are encouraged.
Please park in the public lot between Decoursey and 38th Streets (across from Latonia Baptist Church). Tours will begin from there.
