Build Your LinkedIn Profile, Pt. I

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Online
Zoom

Session 1: Privacy Settings & Setting Up Your Career Interests

LinkedIn’s default profile and privacy settings are not optimal for most people. If you are in transition, they could be hurting you. Your settings affect the way others see you on LinkedIn and could inhibit recruiters and HR professional’s ability to find and to easily connect with you, as well as show people who have similar backgrounds to yours. If set correctly, recruiters will be able to see what job alerts you have created so they can proactively reach out to you before they post a job.

Carolyn will go over each critical privacy setting that is critical to those in transition. She will describe which settings to toggle to increase your visibility, to allow others to receive notifications about your status, and to ensure that you are leveraging this social media channel to reach your target employer.

Some of the topics covered will be:

·       Editing your Public Profile

·       Who can see your edits

·       Sharing your connections

·       Profile viewing options

·       Who can send you notifications

·       And more!
